2 White Cocks with Olympic Blood in the Pedigree…
(Almost) everyone knows that I have always had a special interest in pigeons with unique colours. However, this always goes hand in hand with strong bloodlines as a starting point. From Roger Debusschere, I was able to purchase the white cock “Inbred Den Ad”. From Richard van den Bos, I obtained 3 white pigeons, including the mother of the cocks offered here. I also still own two white brothers from the same hen, and I will soon be offering a few pigeons bred from them as well.
The year 2025 was a very difficult one for me. I had an unbelievable amount of trouble with hawks and a peregrine falcon. On a personal level, things were not easy either, as I suffered a herniated disc on July 1st — the very same day our fourth grandchild was born. Happiness and hardship sometimes go hand in hand.
In 2025, I wanted to once again train a large group of young pigeons, but far too many things went wrong. In the end, I stopped training the pigeons during the season and left a number of them untrained, including a small group of whites. After selection, these 2 cocks from this pairing are now available to make someone else happy with both colour and pedigree. In my opinion, the offered cocks are very well built and deserve the chance to prove themselves.
Meanwhile, I have become an agent for two One Loft Races, which suits my personal situation perfectly. On one hand, I truly enjoy being an agent and helping to promote the respective One Loft Races. On the other hand, it is a great way for me to test my pigeons and gain a better understanding of my breeding loft. The plan is to train a manageable section of young pigeons, never more than around 40, mainly focused on programme and OLR pigeons. Hopefully, I can keep around 8 pairs to compete in the middle-distance and long middle-distance races next year. Time will tell.
Things are currently a bit quiet with auctions on Top Pigeons, but I will continue to offer pigeons in the coming period in order to keep things personally manageable. Of course, I only offer pigeons after careful selection and only those I believe deserve a genuine opportunity. It is good for the pigeons, and naturally it is also nice to recover some of the investments made.
