Barcelona forever!

Barcelona the race that is the ultimate goal for every fancier to win. Barcelona delivers immortal fame like no other race. To make that ultimate dream come true, every fancier goes in search of the very best breeding material to achieve that goal.

But sometimes things work out completely differently and you already have the best you need for that in the lofts yourself. Such is the case with Team Vollebregt, which has produced a cartload of national and international ace pigeons over the years. One of these greats is NL10-1615137 “De Nieuwe Tarzan” who in his active career was good for, among others, 1. Nat. Ace Pigeon ZLU Barcelona 2012-2015, 1. Nat. Ace Pigeon ZLU Barcelona 2012-2016, 21. “De Nieuwe Tarzan” was also 1. Barcelona Masters 2014, 2. Golden Barcelona Pigeon 2014, 2., 3. and 5. International Ace Pigeon Barcelona 2012-2016, 2012-2015 and 2012-2014 and also won 130. and 596. Nat. Pau ... 559. Nat. Marseille and so on

AND: since Barcelona 2024 he can also call himself father of NL19-1609139 “Tarzanson” who wins 15. International Barcelona (19. National) against 17,109 pigeons. ‘Like father, like son’!

In this auction (Lot 1) a son of this new Barcelona-racer “Tarzanson”.

But there is more: a son of ‘De Nieuwe Tarzan’ is sired by Koen de Backer from Hoevene B. father of B20-411 ‘Het Dakzitterke’ 2. National Ace Pigeon Barcelona 2022 - 2024 with 28. Nat. Barcelona 6560 p 2022, 82. Nat. Barcelona 6310 p 2024, 254. Nat. Barcelona 6533 p 2023, 187. Nat. Narbonne 5972 p 2021, 1419. Nat. Agen 7360 p 2021. A full sister to ‘Het Dakzitterke’ wins 319, 516 and 564 Nat. Barcelona, and so on. ‘The New Tarzan’ can rightly be classified as a Top Barcelona sire!  

In his search for performance pigeons, Louis raised his breeding loft to a higher level last year with the purchase of ‘Flas in the Dark’ 1. National Bordeaux S2 from Mario de Vogel in whose pedigree we also find Barcelona blood again, namely a 1. International Acebird Barcelona. And this cock he paired with a hen from W. & M. van Houten with very Barcelona blood in its veins.

Another acquisition was the ‘Tony’ 11. National Barcelona 2016 against 5242 pigeons from Ton van Velzen, not to mention the descendants of ‘Magic Barcelona’ from Noel Peiren who came via Armin Schmidt.

And not forgetting the pigeons of Jan Bullens, who with his ‘Red Bullens’ ensured that none other than Gerard Koopman also became a furore on the long-distance flights. Louis could not get them closer than at the base and the first results are very good in crossing with his own lines of ‘Superkoppel’ but also with the acquisitions of Paul & Sven Saeytijdt from the very best breeding pigeons of this Belgian champions' loft.
